Laser Tattoo Removal
Before you decide to have your tattoo removed, it always helps to get familiar with the procedure and the technology being used to get rid of your tattoo. Perth Tattoo Removal uses the latest in this technology and effective after-care methods to take care of your skin from your first session under the lasers to the recovery period you need to tale afterward.
So what exactly entails laser tattoo removal? Maybe your tattoo artist, especially if they are amateur inkers or if you got your tattoo in a smaller shop that does it cheap, hasn't told you that tattoo ink can often contain metal elements such as manganese, lead and copper, and perhaps even mercury if you’ve chosen a red colour for your tattoo. These heavy metals can sink into the pores, resulting in permanency. This happens in clumps that make it difficult for white blood cells to break down.
That’s where the lasers come in. Tattoo-removing lasers (also called q-switch lasers) delve into the pores and break up the ink clumps, making them small enough for the WBCs to do their job (that is, carry it off into the liver to detoxify your blood!) These lasers have to be very fast and very hot to deliver the right pulse needed, and that’s why they’re very small and can often feel sparky against the skin. The zap needs to be fast enough for the rest of the ink clump to remain cool, allowing it to expand for a millisecond before it gets zapped into pieces.
Our specialists are highly skilled in using lasers to remove tattoos, and though the concept may seem simple, the procedure itself can have side effects if not cared for properly and may hurt during the session. That’s why we make sure to consult with you first on your individual case.
